Being the middle son of 5 boys was an interesting way for Blake
to grow up, trying to keep up with the two older boys while
still being seated at the kiddies table for family meals.
Nevertheless, position in the family was unimportant when it
came to music as Mom and Dad put everybody up front when it came
to singing for local events and family anniversaries. From those
first few performances as a child, Blake grew to love singing
and eventually joined youth choirs and the family band as a
fill-in guitar/bass player. Not until older brother Brian left
the band Shifty Morgan in 1998, was Blake given the opportunity
to hone his skills as a back-up vocalist and acoustic guitar
player. Meanwhile
between the band and farm work back home, life is about having
fun for Blake and he is enjoying the ride and looking forward to
what ever is around the next bend.
